PIERCE TRANSIT

Pierce Transit is our local transit provider. They provide service throughout Pierce County. Get started by planning your trip on their website.

SOUND TRANSIT

Sound Transit provides regional service, including express bus, the Tacoma T-Line, and the Sounder commuter train. You can access Link light rail in Federal Way.

ORCA CARDS

ORCA card makes boarding easy. Load the card online and tap the card reader when boarding the bus. Learn how the ORCA Card works. Tap to Pay is now available on many routes.

TRANSIT APP

Pierce Transit partners with Transit app to provide riders with real-time bus arrival information.Whether you’re a first-time rider or if you use Pierce Transit frequently and need to plan your trip, download Transit to find the fastest way around Pierce County and the region.

EMERGENCY RIDE HOME

Emergency Ride Home (ERH) program takes the fear of leaving your car behind and not being able to get home quickly in the event of an emergency. On any day you take a sustainable commute and experience an emergency, you will be eligible for a ride home using a taxi or Lyft. Our program covers the first $100 of your trip including tip. Set up an account on the trip calendar to access this program.

TRAVEL TRAINING

Travel Training is a free service offered by Pierce Transit that provides self-paced instruction for individuals with disabilities and seniors who wish to use regular bus service and become familiar with public transportation options.

YOUTH RIDE FREE

In early 2022, the Washington State legislature approved a $16.9 billion package called #MoveAheadWA to improve transportation infrastructure over the next 16 years. Amongst other significant investments, as of September 1st, 2022, all youth up to 18 years old can ride transit for free across Washington. This includes all local Pierce Transit service, all Sound Transit services, Washington State Ferries, and Amtrak trips within the state.

Youth riders are encouraged to request and use an ORCA card, either provided by a school district or requested via FreeYouthTransitPass.com

RIDE TRANSIT MONTH

June is Ride Transit Month! Join us in celebrating riders, operators, and public transit. We encourage you to try new routes and take as many transit trips as you can. Every year, TOTG joins forces with Pierce Transit and Ride Together Pierce for a free night of Transit Trivia, where you can win prizes for sharing your love of transit. ORCA FOR BUSINESSES

ORCA benefits are a great way for employers to incentivize sustainable commuting, increase employee retention, and help their employees get around. Business Passport and Business Choice are the Puget Sound region’s only all-inclusive transit benefits available for employer purchase. ORCA Passport provides your employees with an unlimited transit pass covering all bus, rail, water-taxi, and Vanpool/Vanshare programs in King, Pierce, Kitsap and Snohomish Counties at a significant discount. ORCA Choice offers more flexibility for employers, but does not include the same discount as Passport.
